THE PHOTOGRAPHER KEN JONES

I am a native New Yorker and even from very early on I knew I would be in a creative field. My Mother and Grandmother always told me I had "that art thing" It was in the family. But I wanted to use it more technically, I wanted to be an Architect largely due to watching the Brady Bunch!" and wanting to create those little houses Mike Brady made. I applied and was accepted to the High School of Art and Design in Manhattan with the full intent to become an Architect but discovered and began cultivating my true passion, Photography.

For those of you who eat you will be happy to know another passion of mine is cooking, I used to do it professionally, that is how I got my first photo job as well. I was asked to Photograph a seafood banquet that I had prepared for commercial advertisement. Too bad I had to paint most of the food before I shot it, this is how we used to make it look so perfect in pictures but it makes it un-editable, I would have loved to eat it after photographing it. But making the picture great and giving the client what they wanted was and is my primary goal.

I have come a long way since that first shoot; my focus is making people look great! and Bringing more to the table that is there. I love shooting beauty and I see it in everyone waiting to be captured. I love photographing fashion and bringing out the details of the designer, showcasing their work as art!

I love taking pictures of people letting them relax into the moment and capture who they really are and sometimes who I want them to be.
